Download Helvetica and Vista Fonts for Free

I think information and bits of data should be free. Recently, I wanted to use some fonts and had a hard time finding them. It seems like everyone wants to charge money for them (something about a ‘copyright,’ seems to be a relatively new idea that I don’t quite understand). So I am providing a link to these fonts, just passing along what someone gave me:

Helvetica
Vista Fonts (calibri, cambria, candara, consolas, constantia, corbel)

Note: the links now point to my new blog, as I’m trying to consolidate my tech related posts there.

Sorry, you can open with most compression utilities. A free open source one is http://7zip.org

hey this is not helvetica!! the letter “t” “e” “a”are differents of the real helvetica.. almost all of the letters are different!! I lost my time…

Hmm, I just tested the link and was able to download and open fine. Perhaps there is a problem with your network connection, browser or archive program you are using to open the files?

Hi there,
This is amazing – but I get header corruption too so I can’t get at the files. Argh.
Any solutions? Actually, I’ve got an idea, can someone email me the helvetica ttf files? (Not the compressed rar) That would be brilliant and much appreciated :)

I just want to drop by and say thank you so much for this! I don’t think that fonts should be sold like this.

I hate it when typeface people (for lack of a better word) complain that Arial has ripped off Helvetica, and that Arial should be put to death. Well, until Helvetica is set free of copyrights it will never be as used as Arial.

Set the fonts free!
